Belden announces long-term supply agreement with Yokogawa Electric Corporation

Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC), a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission critical applications, today announced a new agreement with Yokogawa Electric Corporation. Yokogawa, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is a leading provider of industrial automation and control solutions in a wide range of process markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Yokogawa will deploy Belden’s Hirschmann™ brand Industrial Ethernet switches in Yokogawa’s global industrial application solutions that require highly reliable network performance.

Under the terms of the agreement, Yokogawa will use Hirschmann™ Industrial Ethernet switches in their Vnet/IP® high-speed control networks and provide maintenance services to facilitate the deployment of highly reliable control networks.
Plant control communication network in markets such as oil & gas, power transmission & distribution, pharmaceuticals and water/wastewater must endure harsh environments with extreme ambient temperatures and corrosive gasses.
